Consultations

The most challenging aspect of tree stewardship is knowing what to do for your tree and when to do it. Whether it’s pruning, installing supports, treating for pests or disease, or in the worst case, removing, having guidance you can trust is invaluable.

Schedule a consultation to get the information you need to make the best decisions you can for your tree’s health and longevity, as well as your own time, energy and budget.

Consultation Services

  • A man posing next to a very large tree in a forest, with one foot on the ground and one knee bent on the tree root, smiling and gesturing with his hands.

    Basic

Where all assessments begin. The tree(s) in question is inspected from ground level, observations are shared, and next steps (if applicable) are planned. Basic assessments are useful for anticipating whether a tree needs further inspection and/or work.

  • A man wearing safety gear and a helmet is climbing a large tree using ropes.

    Advanced

A much more thorough examination of the tree(s) in question, focusing on health and risk. This could include soil testing, tissue/pest sampling, crown inspection and stability tests. All level 2 assessments come with a written report.

Why pay for a consultation?

Why pay for a consultation when you can get a “free estimate”? The difference between a paid consultation and a free estimate is that one results in unbiased information for better decision-making, while the other assumes that your tree needs work (or to be cut down). Not all trees need work or to be cut down. Not all trees are an imminent hazard. An ecologically-minded, comprehensive professional assessment provides a long-term strategy for the thriving of your trees and landscape, instead of just a quick-fix.

Know that you’re making the best decisions for the health of your trees and their ecosystem.
